Catholic people--Is this irony? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

I have heard catholics don't believe in birth control. Therefore, they have more children than other christians.

I have heard catholics not suppose to have sex before marriage, but I have seen many catholics girls have babies as young age without a husband.Catholic people--Is this irony? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
what is the irony of it? just because the Catholic Church does not condone contraception does it mean that it's the Church's fault some members didn't follow what the Church said. I don't see the irony when people followed themselves.Catholic people--Is this irony? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
It's called reproduction. Humans, just like any species, are programmed to reproduce. The god bs is well, bs.
There are a lot of Baptist and Methodist and Lutheran girls who aren't supposed to have sex before marriage, but they have out-of-wedlock babies at a young age, too. Disobeying God's commandments is by no means limited to just one religion or group of people. It's a sad fact that people sin and have to deal with the difficult consequences of their choice.

There is also a reason why Catholicism doesn't permit abortion or artificial birth control methods, and that's because the Church teaches respect for all life. The weak, the helpless, the ill, and the unborn are just as deserving of respect as any other human being -- a fact that frequently gets lost in our culture of convenience.

The Church permits natural birth control based on the rhythms of a woman's reproductive cycle. Artificial birth control is dangerous and frequently fatal for the woman who practices it. From the higher risk of breast cancer associated with the Pill to the excessive bleeding and uterine perforation that can occur with the abortifacent IUD, artificial conception has proven itself to be not quite the 'blessing' that it's often touted as.

The Church doesn't prohibit artificial birth control methods, premarital sex, or abortion because it hates women. On the contrary, the Church respects and protects all life.
I don't think it's all that ironic.

Look, people struggle against temptation. Some succeed, some fail. EVERY Catholic you know struggles, not just the ones you see having babies. So do all other people of all other religions. The best thing to do is to cast a merciful eye instead of a judgmental one and remember, we really are all in this together.

BTW, Catholics don't have more babies because we are forbidden from using birth control. We have more babies because we believe that children are GOOD and that having children is a great privilege.
The catholic Church only recognizes 1 form of birth control, which is following the woman's cycle and only having sex on days she is least likely to conceive.

As far as the unwed girls, that's thier choice and thier families' business. I beleive God is forgiving. It's better to pray and help people personally than to ignore or pass judgement.
Here is my opinion on this: People from this faith have some ot the strictist rules of any religon. We all know what happens when things are too strict and sheltered. Maybe that is why there are so many pregnant catholic teens. It is forced upon them in such a harsh way that they do what they are told not to. Also, forbidding birth control when we all know that many teens (especially today) are going to have sex is a big problem. Maybe they feel like it may be okay to break the sex rule as long as they don't break the birth control rule. I am just guessing here.
Irony? No, I think you mean hypocrisy. . .

You've heard wrong. Catholics do not practice birth control using artificial means such as condoms, the pill, surgery, etc. Catholics do practice Natural Family Planning which, when done right, has a much better success percentage than condoms or the pill.

Because of this belief, people automatically presume a large family must be a Catholic family. Common sense alone should be enough to prove this is not always the case.

Besides, there is nothing wrong with having a large family.

No Christians, not just Catholics, are supposed to have sex outside of wedlock. Again - common sense alone, should be enough to prove that the fact this given Doctrine exists doesn't mean everyone is going to follow it to a ';T'; all the time.

Everyone sins. For some, their sinning includes pre/extra-marital sex.

Some people think they can handle sex - outside of marriage, and end up becoming a parent when they are still teens. Now, one parent usually ends up raising a child without the help or support of the other parent.

For the record, I only know a handful of women who have given birth outside of wedlock, and only a couple of them were Catholic. Are you sure there are ';many'; (?) and that they are ';all'; (?) Catholic?
Someone said it is contradicting, how so? Sure Catholics have certain things they believe in, but do you think that just because a Catholic goes against their beliefs (like sex before marriage) they are going to be condemned by the Church? All humans have FREE WILL and are not infallible. It is important for you to remember that no one is perfect, even members of the Catholic Church. So there's this thing called forgiveness if you really are sorry for the poor choices you make. In regard to the birth control I advise you to go research the purpose of matrimony according to the Church. There you will find just was sex is supposed to be, then your birth control issue should be answered. Try the Catechism.
let he who has no sin, cast the first stone. IS THAT YOU?
It is a fact that most Catholics do not follow everything taught by the Catholic Church. Catholics in the U.S. are in fact quite liberal.
It's not irony, it's just very sad. It's disappointing when people disobey God's laws and have premarital sex, or engage in any other sin. The Church doesn't encourage these young people to have sex, on the contrary, we are very pro-abstinence. It's a shame that you've seen this happen to Catholic girls.
Yes---the Celibate men you know the ones who don't have sex or children and the responsibilities that entail raising children tell these women not to use birthcontrol. And guess what you call couples who practice this thing called FAMILY PLANNING ie the RYTHYM METHOD? Parents............. sad but true these women listen to these childless, sexless men. Statistically Catholic girls are not any more pregnant than any other Religion that requires abstinence prior to marriage. The difference between Catholicism and some other Faiths is that the reproductive and sexual control of the church continues on throughout a woman's life as long as she is fertile....should she choose to follow the dude in the collars instructions.
The rules of the religion do not take into account human nature. Catholicism forbids both birth control and abortion. If it would permit one of the two and forbid the other, it would be sensible, but forbidding both is unrealistic.
So a few people that you have seen compared to the thousands or perhaps millions, of Catholics, are gonna lodge in that brain of yours that most or all of them make the unrealistic assumption of yours ironic about what you have seen? And now you believe ALL of the Catholics are that way? Catholic basher as you may try to be, you need to get a lesson or two in stats, that's short for statistics, and that occurs in psychology and sociology, two of which I don't think you know a darn bit about, so when you have an opinion and do not desire to get bashed about you ignorance, perhaps you should seek some real facts? GOD BLESS you though.
No, we do not believe in birth control. Yes, many young girls have babies without first being married. Who knows the circumstances. The best thing we can do is pray for them and try to be of help.

God bless.
It's called contradiction.

Extremely common in said religion.
They're not practicing Catholic, thats all. Just like people breaking the law of the country. Do we say ';Isn't it ironic people steal after the law says not to?';
The answer to your question is somple, though I do not agree with some of the Catholic beliefs we as humans regardless are not perfect. We make many mistakes but thats our nature. It is the one way that we prove to ourselves that we need God in our lives to show us and help guide us to live better. As to Catholics not having sex before marraige...that applies to all people. We are not supposed to have sex before marraige because of alot of reasons. Reasons that God knows and tries to teach us but we chose to ignore.
There is an old saying about catholic girls. They give the best blojobs.
the law says dont rob banks

......we still do....
No it is not irony. It is the natural consequence of a terrible religion called Christianity. The priests encouraged large families because of a passage in Genesis where God commanded Abraham to ';be fruitful and multiply.'; They ignore the fact that God made Abraham a patriarch and that he named him Abraham because it means ';father of many nations.'; My Mom had seven kids and she is Catholic. My sister went to Catholic school as did the rest of us and she had two kids before getting married. She wasn't young however. Why don't you look at how many welfare mothers there are? There are loads of blacks and Mexicans and white trash who get pregnant in order to get on welfare. They are worse than the Catholics. I think you are ridiculous to single out the Catholics. The English, Jews, and Muslims are inbred from marrying people they are related to. They are all almost as bad as the Egyptians were for marrying their sisters. The Muslims to this day are allowed to marry their first cousins.
Those are just practice babies.
